Seabourn Ovation Maiden Voyage – What a Sight! (Video)

Few moments are as special as the maiden voyage of a new vessel, particularly for one as spectacular as Seabourn Ovation. The cruise line’s fifth ship and sister to Seabourn Encore, Seabourn Ovation is the pinnacle of cruise ship craftsmanship and design. Porthole Cruise’s CEO Bill Panoff was invited aboard for the initial trip from the shipyard in Genoa, Italy to the port of Venice where the first passengers are set to come aboard for an 11 day journey with stops in Barcelona, Spain and the island chain of Malta.

The ship can accommodate 600 guests in 300 suites, each with private verandas for al fresco dining and stunning views of the ocean and landscapes. Every suite features a sitting area, a marble bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub and a personal bar/refrigerator customizable for each guest’s tastes. The ship is designed with the newest advancements for improved efficiency and a smaller environmental footprint. It’s truly a cruising experience unlike any other.
