- Un-Cruise Adventures has unveiled their schedule of Alaska cruises, including two all-new itineraries from Juneau – Exploring Muir’s Wilderness (on the 84-guest Safari Endeavour) and Yachter’s Alaskan Frontier (on the 22-guest Safari Quest).
- Norwegian Cruise Line has heard its customers. They’re reverting their controversial doggie-bag ban and going back to allowing guests to take meals from restaurants back to their staterooms. “Based on the feedback we received, it’s clear that this is an area many of our guests and travel partners see as important,” says Andy Stuart, the line’s president and COO.
- Windstar Cruises has christened the third and final of three all-suite power yachts, Star Legend, in a pier-side ceremony in Rome. Gloria Bohan, CEO of Omega World Travel, served as godmother.
- On Monday, Cunard Line celebrated its 175th anniversary by gathering the fleet on the Mersey River in their spiritual home of Liverpool. Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth performed a graceful ballet, sailing and turning in formation as the precision pilots of the Red Arrows flew overhead. There’s video of the event here.
