  • Kathie Lee Gifford is once again affiliated with Carnival Cruise Line, but this time not as a spokesperson, but as a purveyor. Her California-estate-grown GIFFT wine is now available fleetwide on Carnival ships. Gifford surprised guests aboard Carnival Breeze last week with a tasting. If her friends could see her now….
  • American Cruise Lines announced plans to build new riverboats and to introduce “a new style of river cruising” in the United States. The concept of the new, contemporary ships will differ from the line’s existing paddle wheelers (on the Mississippi and Columbia and Snake rivers) and small coastal ships, officials said. New river destinations will be added, but there’s no reveal yet on where or when….
  • Disney Cruise Line is expanding the culinary experiences at its French-influenced restaurant Remy on Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. New are an elegant small-plates menu accompanied by wine pairings, a decadent dessert experience, a seasonal truffle menu and special caviar selections, all for a fee.
