New Fitness, Spa, and Venue Reveals for Norwegian Escape
New Fitness, Spa, and Venue reveals about Norwegian Escape
Cruise News – Jan. 9, 2015
Some new announcements have come in regarding Norwegian Cruise Line’s upcoming Norwegian Escape (to sail from Miami in November).
The ship will feature Spice H2O and Vibe Beach Club, two adult-only outdoor favorites. Spice H2O, located at the back of the ship on Deck 17, will feature an all-new grotto area, complete with waterfalls, to relax by day. At night, it becomes an open-air dance club.
Guests ages 18 and over will have their own private retreat called Vibe Beach Club (access pass purchase required), complete with a large hot tub, chaise loungers, a soothing water feature, a full-service bar, water spritzers, and chilled towels.
Norwegian Escape’s fitness center will feature the latest Technogym® weight training and cardio equipment that will synch to Apple music devices. Group fitness favorites will include Zumba and TRX while boxing buffs can enjoy Norwegian Fight Klub™, a high-intensity cardio boxing class.
In addition, the ship’s Mandara Spa will have the largest thermal suite at sea and will be equipped with 24 contemporary furnished treatment rooms offering more than 50 signature services. It will also introduce the line’s first Snow Room.
The idea is that you first turn to mush in facilities that include sauna, steam, a salt room, a samarium, 17 heated loungers, and a hydrotherapy pool, and then get invigorated with a rush of cold air.
Temperatures in the Snow Room will range from a frosty 21 degrees to 32 degrees F. The cold brings health benefits that include stimulating blood circulation and strengthening the immune system, Norwegian officials said.
(If the snow room idea sounds familiar, Viking Star, Viking Cruises’ first ocean ship, will be first out the gate with a “Snow Grotto” when that ship debuts in the spring.)
