CroisiEurope Paddles the Elbe
Cruise News – November 21, 2014
Beginning in spring 2016, popular European river line CroisiEurope will have its MS Elbe Princesse on the Elbe and Moldau (Vltava) rivers year-round, sailing itineraries that include both Berlin and Prague.
The ship itself is unusual — it’s a contemporary, 80-passenger paddlewheeler, a sister ship to the MS Loire Princesse in France. The advanced paddlewheel technology goes beyond what propeller-driven ships can do and allows for year-round navigation, line officials said.
Port calls include Wittenberg, known as the town of Luther; Meissen, with its much-admired porcelain; and Dresden, “Florence on the Elbe.”
