Theme Cruise Celebrates Women Who Rock

Cruisers may soon be going “Crazy on You,” or at least will have the opportunity to rock out to the music of Heart – and other top women artists – at the Grammy Festival at Sea: Women Who Rock cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Pearl.

The 4-day Bahamas cruise in November will also feature performances by Shawn Colvin, Estelle, Skylar Grey, Emmylou Harris, and the Indigo Girls. All have been nominated for or have received Grammy Awards.

Additional women artists are expected to join the lineup in coming months.

The cruise is organized by Sixthman, which has produced music theme cruises since 2001 and is now owned by Norwegian Cruise Line; and The Recording Academy, which recently partnered with Norwegian for The Grammy Experience, a music club and memorabilia museum on the new Norwegian Getaway.

In addition to concerts, guests on the Women Who Rock cruise will be able to interact with the performers during Q&A panels and other activities hosted by the bands.

The cruise is round-trip from Miami, November 4 to 8, 2014. Port calls are Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay. Fares are from $800 per person.
