Five Amazing Accommodations aboard Seven Seas Explorer

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed details on all 10 categories of suites that will be featured aboard Seven Seas Explorer when the 750-guest all-suite ship debuts in the summer of 2016. (The ship’s keel-laying ceremony took place last month at the shipyard in Italy.)

Each of the 375 suites, which start at 307 square feet, will feature a private balcony, European king-sized Suite Slumber Beds, and oversized bathrooms. And while many of us would be extremely happy calling the simplest suite home for a week, check out the ship’s five amazing top-tiered suites.

Regent Suite

A very special room, a room I had visited myself, that was located on the uppermost floor and contained a great windowless skylight. Positioned under that opening upon the heavens, and fixed securely in place, stood a long table.

The mother of all suites is the Regent Suite, an ultra-luxurious, two- bedroom, 3,875-square- foot suite complete with an in-room spa retreat with a personal sauna, steam room, and treatment area. The suite features an outdoor, glass-enclosed sitting area (aptly named the Vista Garden) where guests can enjoy 270-degree unobstructed views over the ship’s bow and out to the horizon.

 

Master Suite

The two-bedroom Master Suite features a modern Park Avenue style, with rosewood polished furniture and crystal chandeliers. Located at the bow of the ship on Decks 7 and 8, the four Master Suites measure between 1,900 and 2,100 square feet and boast a spacious living area with a bar and balconies up to 1,000 square feet. Marble and stone bathrooms feature a shower and tub.

 

Grand Suite and Explorer Suite

The Grand and Explorer Suites boast a common design element of high-contrast emerald accents blended with rich grey, brown, and cream décor. Both suites feature two full baths and living areas with rich marble mosaics, exotic woods, and unique furniture pieces based on haute-couture fashion. The Grand Suite ranges up to 1,800 square feet and offers an expansive private balcony, while the Explorer Suite reaches up to 1,350 square feet and features a slightly larger living space.

 

Seven Seas Suite

Famed designer Dakota Jackson created the look for the Seven Seas Suite, which offers between 825 and 925 square feet with a cosmopolitan apartment feel that includes golden-colored ceiling accents and plush furnishings. The room flows from living room to dining area to bedroom, with sliding glass doorways leading to a spacious private balcony. A white marble bathroom sits adjacent to the oversized bedroom.

 

Penthouse Suite

Penthouse

The sapphire-inspired Penthouse Suites range up to 625 square feet, with a stylish entertainment center that separates the living room and bedroom. The suite features a marble-topped bar, dining area, living room, and sliding glass doorways in both the bedroom and living room that lead to an oversized balcony.
