  • Cunard Line’s iconic ocean liner, Queen Mary 2, made her U.S. debut into her homeport of Brooklyn, New York, following her major renovation. VIPs in attendance included Carnival Corporation CEO, Arnold Donald; Cunard, North America, President, Richard Meadows; Captain Christopher Wells, and a number of beloved pets – there to enjoy the deluxe kennels aboard the world’s only passenger ship to welcome dogs and cats.
  • MSC Cruises has announced the name for MSC Seaside’s upcoming sister ship. MSC Seaview is scheduled to sail the Med starting in June 2018.Captain Gaetano Gigliotti greets Carina Alejandro, Jaxport's 2 millionth cruiser.
  • Jacksonville, Florida’s JAXPORT cruise terminal celebrated its 2 millionth cruise passenger this week, with Carnival Elation Captain Gaetano Gigliotti joining port officials to present Carina Alejandro with gifts and a commemorative plaque. The North Carolinian and first-time cruiser was sailing with her son and fiancé on Carnival Elation’s 4-day Bahamas cruise to celebrate her boss’ wedding on board.
