MSC Cruises partners with Cirque du Soleil

 The legendary entertainers of Cirque du Soleil have teamed up with MSC Cruises for a long-term partnership that will see the troupe create exclusive shows for the cruise line, as well as joining forces to design a special venue aboard the next-generation Meraviglia-class ships.

The high-tech dining and entertainment venue in the 450-seat aft lounge represents a $21 million investment. The team constructing MSC Meraviglia and her three sister ships will build out the 10,760-square-foot area to seat 200 diners and 250 additional audience members, and equip the space with innovative performance technology.

“Together with our newest world-class partner, Cirque du Soleil, we imagined and are now designing a totally new, live entertainment experience exclusively for our guests; an original show in a multimillion-dollar custom-built venue aboard a ship we designed ourselves, down to the last detail,” says MSC Cruises’ executive chairman, Pierfrancesco Vago.

MSC Meraviglia is due to be delivered in May 2017, sailing the Western Med from Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona.
