From country music cruises to chocolate lovers’ cruises, from golf to Goth, there is a theme cruise out there for everyone. Set sail with like-minded cruisers for a week of, well, any interest you can imagine! Here are five theme cruises to consider for 2015.

2015 Solar Eclipse Cruise

Daylight turns to darkness on this voyage that will cruise to one of the two points on Earth where this spring’s total solar eclipse will be visible, the Faroe Islands. A bonus to being at sea: reduced light pollution. Viewing the Northern Lights in northern Norway is another exciting possibility.

Peter Hillary, Mountaineer

Travel to Antarctica on an authentic expedition ship with New Zealand mountaineer Peter Hillary (son of Sir Edmund Hillary), who blazed a new overland route to the South Pole in 1999. As onboard guest speaker, Hillary will discuss his explorations while offering expert insights on the White Continent.

311 Caribbean Cruise 2015 – Soundsystem Jamaica

Celebrating their fourth festival at sea, the multi-platinum band 311 will make rock history by performing, for the first time ever, the entire album Soundsystem during one of their sets. Says 311 vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum: “The 311 Cruise is just such an amazing experience for us and our fans. The energy and unity on the ship is always incredible.” Other musical guests include Dirty Heads and Pepper, with more bands and DJs joining the crew soon.
