Carnival Shows off Pride in Tampa

Fresh from a $75 million redo, Carnival Pride has started its winter schedule from Tampa, cruising to Mexico, Honduras (Mahogany Bay on Roatan), Belize and, on some sailings, Grand Cayman, with such additional Fun Ship 2.0 features as a Guy’s Burger Joint and poolside BlueIguana Tequila Bar.
During a three-week dry dock, the ship also was updated with a pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub, EA SPORTS Bar and poolside RedFrog Rum Bar.
New on top of Carnival Pride is a massive WaterWorks aqua park with a Green Thunder water slide – the fastest and steepest waterslide at sea, according to the cruise line. Inside, passengers catch Playlist Production shows including 88 Keys: The Rock and Roll Piano Show.
The ship is in Tampa through March, then repositions to Baltimore for year-round cruises.
