Port of Palm Beach Ship to Sail to the Bahamas
Cruise News – Jan. 2, 2015
The Port of Palm Beach is getting a new ship for Bahamas cruises.
Arriving this year will be Grand Celebration, a 1,500-passenger ship that once operated as Carnival Cruise Lines’ Celebration. Built in 1986, the ship has most recently sailed for Spanish line Ibero Cruises.
The new Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line will sail Grand Celebration out of the Port of Palm Beach to Freeport, Bahamas, as early as February, officials said.
“The MV Grand Celebration is absolutely gorgeous and we are ecstatic to have this wonderful cruise ship sail out of our port,” said Manuel Almira, Port of Palm Beach’s executive director.
Plans are for Grand Celebration to sail every other day from Palm Beach on 2-day round-trip sailings and will also offer longer combination cruise and resort-stay packages.
