Cruise ships are supposed to make average Joe’s feel like celebrities, but for the cruise ship Harmony of the Seas, Hollywood called for real!

The cruise ship, operated by Royal Caribbean International, made its movie debut today in the Netflix original “Like Father”, starring Kristen Bell, Kelsey Grammer and Seth Rogan.

Prior to the premiere, passengers are invited to attend a special event in the signature Boardwalk neighborhood, featuring a live DJ, face painting, delicious treats and beverage specials.

“Like Father” was filmed on board Harmony of the Seas and follows the story of Kristen Bell as a young advertising executive and workaholic who was left at the altar and winds up on her Caribbean honeymoon cruise with her estranged father played by Kelsey Grammer. While plenty of hilarity ensues, the characters ultimately come to realize the importance of life and family.

The actors are seen enjoying many of the fun activities on board Harmony of the Seas including Boleros, The Perfect Storm, FlowRider, Royal Promenade, Rising Tide Bar, and Royal Caribbean International’s private island destination Labadee, Haiti, where they encounter the longest overwater zip line.

The movie was written, directed and produced by Lauren Miller Rogen, wife of actor Seth Rogan, who took full advantage of the ship and amenities. As one of the world’s largest cruise ships, there’s not shortage of excellent fodder for the plotline aboard Harmony of the Seas. The ship holds well over 5,000 guests as well as thousands of crew, making her the second largest cruise ship in service today.
